چکیده

A new algorithm is presented for simulating volume-controlled invasion of a non-wetting phase into voxel images. This method complementary to the traditional morphological image opening which mimics pressure-based invasion. key advantage volume-based approach that fluid configuration at any saturation between 0 and 1 can obtained rather than irregularly widely spaced steps by methods. Because incremental increases in saturation, it becomes possible correctly predict defending trapping, not case when are applied. The verified comparing obtains near perfect agreement equal saturations as expected from theory. It also demonstrated capillary pressure curve be displays characteristic jumps pressure. Moreover, envelop peak pressures yields opening, so fact results proposed superset approach. Finally, compared multiphase lattice Boltzmann qualitatively similar were achieved substantially less time. more flexible terms variable contact angle inclusion viscous effects, but quasi-static injection fluid, viable alternative.

Brain Volume Estimation Enhancement by Morphological Image Processing Tools

Background: Volume estimation of brain is important for many neurological applications. It is necessary in measuring brain growth and changes in brain in normal/abnormal patients. Thus, accurate brain volume measurement is very important. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the method of choice for volume quantification due to excellent levels of image resolution and between-tissue contrast. St...

volume estimation of potatoes using image processing

volume estimation of most agricultural products using mathematical methods is not accurate because of their irregular shape. an alternative method is image processing, which can be used in continuous sorting machines. the objective of this study is to find a practical method for volume estimation of potatoes using image processing. fifty potatoes (marfona variety) were selected as experimental ...

Early Detection of Diabetic Retinopathy in Fluorescent Angiography Retinal Images Using Image Processing Methods

Introduction: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the single largest cause of sight loss and blindness in the working age population of Western countries; it is the most common cause of blindness in adults between 20 and 60 years of age. Early diagnosis of DR is critical for preventing vision loss so early detection of microaneurysms (MAs) as the first signs of DR is important. This paper addresses th...

Comparison of Restricted Fluid Volume with Standard Fluid Volume in Management of Transient Tachypnea of the Newborns: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Background Transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN) is one of the most common neonatal respiratory disease and its symptoms usually begins in the first few hours after birth. The volume of fluid intake according to the neonate's conditions varies. We aimed to compare the restricted fluids volume with standard fluids volume in treatment of neonates with TTN. Materials and Methods: This clinical ...
